Songwriter/Publisher
Tanille Edwards

R&B Pop Artist TANILLE is back this year with her Holiday Classic  "Santa Don't Pass Me By"

"I wrote "Santa Don't Pass Me By" when I was missing my love at holiday times. Things got a little confused. He thought I meant one thing, and I meant something else. I started thinking about what would I do if I didn't hear from him before Christmas. Knowing how much I missed him. Knowing how magical the season is. It would be my only Christmas wish for Santa to bring him back. Love is such big part of the holiday season. It is my favorite time of the year.

R&B/Pop Artist Tanille Edwards is a multi-talented songstress who writes her own lyrics and produces the musical arrangements for her fresh new songs. Her soulful sound is uniquely reminiscent of those lyrically passionate, club groovin' beats of the 80's.

A native New Yorker, Tanille's music has global range. Her passion for entertaining began at the early age of 3 when she would perform her vocal talent for an audience of extended family during events and holiday gatherings. By age 7 she was in the spotlight, and onstage as winner of a local talent contest.

"Baby Come Back to Me" and "Feel It" are just two songs packaged as a soundtrack from the Feel It EP album and distributed with two novels, Cameo and Broken, both written by Tanille and published by FireFlies Entertainment. Tanille says "I started songwriting in my late teens inspired by greats like Aretha, Whitney and Ella and influenced by artists like Mariah, Janet and Lisa Lisa. I let my songs tell a story with my message and my voice", says Tanille.

Shawn Kingsberry

CHILLAXING IN KINGSBERRY'S BRAND NEW "PINOT GRIGIO"
Shawn Kingsberry's single titled "Pinot Grigio" beckons one back in time, creating an infusion of jazz, neo-soul, and R&B - all from inspirations of the sounds of the 80s.
"Music is a language traversing gender, race, and culter touching your soul" - Shawn Kingsberry
(KENSINGTON, MARYLAND U.S.A.) APRIL 12th, 2016 – Multi-talented singer, songwriter, and producer Shawn Kingsberry mesmerizes his listeners with his latest release, the Pinot Grigio. The single is a full-bore fusion of jazz, neo-soul, and R&B that create smooth, soothing soundscapes. The Shawn Kingsberry EP puts a modern-day spin onto 1980s "old-school" styles. Shawn's ultimate goal is to have listeners in his brand new, "old-school" sound.
Shawn has previously released 17 separate singles since 2011. Within this single, he displays smooth jazz coupled with sexy vocals. He explains, "I deliberately avoid complex music; I write with the goal to put my listeners in a mood to sip wine with an audience of two."
Shawn utilizes a blend of both live and analog instruments into a broad palette of electronic samples and sounds. Shawn Kingsberry taps into an amalgam of genres - some retro - resulting in a novel and natural meld of his muses.
Shawn developed a fantastic set of skills over the years in the music business, which include working in a production unit of TJ Thompson, (Immature.) Also, he has produced music for Harvey Alston, (Keith SweatTeddy Riley.) In many ways, Shawn Kingsberry has evolved into a poetic professor of his unique "Academy of Style." Within the Pinot Grigio, he beckons listeners to relax inside the walls of his brand new, "old-school" sound.

MORPHING INTO A MUSICAL MORPHEUS
 Shawn Kingsberry Artist Biography

“I bridge the gap between the virtual and physical worlds of music with the goal of setting my listeners free to experience what is real.” - Shawn Kingsberry

In today’s technological world, genuine, analog instruments always collide with their virtual, and computer-generated counterparts. We’re all living amidst the “Digital Music Revolution.” It's a virtual place that is not always “real.” Most artists only master one of these realms, not both. However, one musical maestro stands out; his name is Shawn Kingsberry. Shawn is akin to “Morpheus” in the movie The Matrix. With ease, he can move in and out of the today’s musical matrix. Kingsberry has an uncanny ability to merge digital and analog instrumentation to create his inimitable blend of smooth jazz, neo-soul, and R&B.

However, Shawn's artistry isn't simply a choice between taking the Red Pill or the Blue Pill. Think instead of his music as taking the Purple Pill; it will let you "chillax" and simultaneously experience the best of both worlds. Over the years, Kingsberry has harnessed his technical knowledge and combined it flawlessly with his varied musical skill set. Over the decades of hard work within this complex matrix, he has morphed into a musical “Morpheus.”

Shawn Kingsberry is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, and producer from Kensington, Maryland. He aims to compose purposely uncomplicated musical scores. He explains, “I bridge the gap between the virtual and physical worlds of music with the goal of setting my listeners free to experience what is real.” He chases perfection, yet knows it is unattainable, realizing at some point, the song is ready to be heard, and a lesson is to be learned.

MOFFIE

New post on Sugar Music

Sugar Man song featured in trailer for “Moffie” film

by Sugar Music News
The year is 1981 and South Africa’s white minority government is embroiled in a conflict on the southern Angolan border. Like all white boys over the age of 16, Nicholas Van der Swart (Kai Luke Brummer) must complete two years of compulsory military service to defend the Apartheid regime. The threat of communism and “die swart gevaar” (the black danger) is at an all-time high. But that’s not the only danger Nicholas faces. He must survive the brutality of the army – something that becomes even more difficult when a connection is sparked between him and a fellow recruit.
MOFFIE, is the 4th film by director Oliver Hermanus. It is produced by South African-born producer Eric Abraham who produced the Academy Award-winning films - Pawel Pawlikowski’s Ida (2014) and Jan Sverak’s Kolya (1996) and Jack Sidey of Portobello Productions. It is based on the memoir, Moffie, by Andre-Carl van der Merwe and tells the story of a conscript who embarks on his military service in 1981 South Africa. In local theatres on 13 March 2020.
